Notes:
**Vista and Windows 7 Users - If you get a punkbuster error, On your shortcut for the game CHECK the following option: Run this program as administrator.
**Bad performances with USB mice
wiki4games.com wrote:Another major problem is a bug related to USB mice which dramatically reduces ingame performance after a few minutes of playing. There is no real solution, only a workaround:
Go to device manager => human interface devices. A list of HID entries will pop up. now you have to find out which HID entry causes the problem by simply disabling one HID after another and checking the result in F.E.A.R.. To disable a HID, right-click on the entry and choose "deactivate" from the context menu (later you can re-activate the HID the same way). Note that disabling HIDs may cause USB devices to stop working properly (until re-activated again)! For example, the "Logitech SetPoint software" may no longer be available for Logitech mice.
Choosing a USB poling rate below 1000 Hz may also helped. Changing the USB poling rate can sometimes be done using the mouse driver software, otherwise some third party tools could be able to do it (although they might create more problem that they solve, thus should be used as a last resort).
**Mohawk Transmit Issue - I have experienced difficulty using Mohawk Voice while F.E.A.R. Combat is running. Its like the game is blocking the keyboard input from reaching the Mohawk Client. This prevents mohawk users from hearing you because the transmit key press never reaches the client. I'm looking into this problem.
