LAN Party December 6th, 2008 Saturday, at Cobret's Garage

The LAN begins Saturday December 6th at 2:00pm. Its going to be cold outside but the garage will be warm and toasty. There may also be snow so be prepared for that. Make sure to practice up on Quake 3 Arena for the Tournament. I would like to see 8 players minimum for this tourney. Be sure you have a copy of Left 4 Dead, Practice and Play. We will be playing L4D at this LAN.

Make sure that your computer is 100% Tested and Working If you plan on playing in a tournament. Crashing/Reboots/Freezing will make what could have been a fun LAN a miserable disaster.

Parking:

The Driveway will be used for unloading/loading and people should park out on the road, unless snow is an issue.

Food:

Dinner(6-8pm): Pepperoni Pizza will be ordered between 6-8pm depending on when the tournaments end.

Games:

• Left 4 Dead - Have it for this lan, dedicated server will be online.
• WolfET - We will be playing the original 6 maps only.
• Quake 3 Arena.
• Team Fortress 2 - Buy the game on Steam prior to the LAN event!!! We will have a dedicated server online to be play at the LAN.

Tournaments:

• Map - Will be randomly selected at the event.
• First to 15 Frags or Highest Frags at the end of 15min.
• If a game crashes/other problem occurs, prior to completion, its up to the two players to have a rematch/forfeit. If a second crash occurs during the rematch, the crashing player forfeits.
• The Tournament will be randomly seeded.
• Each Player is responsible for having the game installed.
• Prizes
  • 1st: A copy of Half-Life 2 or HL2 Episode 1
  • 2nd:HL2 or HL2EP1 whichever 1st doesn't take.
  • 3rd: T-Shirt.

I see FarCry2 on the possible games list... I just bought it and I'm all for playing it at the LAN. I'd also love to see some FEAR and/or maybe UT3 CTF action. I'll get my ass handed to me on a platter but theyre still fun.

Also, some classic Starcraft action?

I have yet to try out Far Cry 2. Impaler seemed to like it, but how is the multiplayer?

No prob, ill be there around 3-4. I going shopping for a pistol. I think you will like it, its just COD4 re-textured and re-skinned. With the addition of the zombie mod.

I just picked up a pistol. I got the Beretta 92FS along with 6 mags, hogue grips and a couple other things. I do my CCW on Dec 9th and 10th from 5-9 PM and should have my permit to carry pretty soon.
