character guessing game

you guys are killing me with the alphanumeric guessing game that I have to enter along with my password when i log in. Didn't use to be that way and I thought those were only used for account creation/guest messages.

I enabled for security purposes. We were having a bot create an account, and post in a random topic which made me have to delete posts and accounts to counteract the bot. Enabling the captcha seems to have fixed this along with the nuke sentinel update I did.

Is the captcha really too difficult or is it your browser? How many characters are showing up for you? Which browser are you using?
