I could give two shits who the top posters were and most everyone already knew who they were anyway, and the show/hide thing is just annoying in my opinion. I also think the admin login should be moved to the bottom, you want the Site Navigation to be the easiest thing to find. Plus 99% of the people visiting the site will never have to use that feature. Sorry if I seem harsh.
EDIT: Just noticed the thread preview when you rollover a topic, not sure if I care for that either.
P.S. I am a minimalist when it comes to design, less is more.
Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it. If nobody tells me what they like and dont like i cant make changes to make their experience better.
- Recent Posts
If i was able to get the new recent posts center block to show the last 5 posts would that satisfy you. I think the show hide for the latest 25 is a good way to find out what been happening in the forums if you were away from Slayfest for a few days. I think only showing the last 5 is good for the more frequent visitors but it doesent but as soon a more than 5 topics are active in a single day then people lose track of what was posted before that. So what im tryin to do is find the sweet spot where both of those needs can be met.
- BoxOver forum topics
I kinda installed this mod on impulse. I thought it was a really cool effect that would help users browse the forums. I think if mostly for the dial up users. Loading 15 seperate forum topics must be a pain. If people dont take to it or if it gets annoying i will remove it. consider this a trial period.
- Admin login block
I know making it the top block on the left was a bit extreme but WOW does it make my life easier. After im logged in it adds an ADmin DHTML menu that really speeds up my productivity. I will move the block around until i find a good place but I wont interfere with were the navigation is.
