08. [How-To] Auto-Connect to our Server

09. Download and install "Q3E-Minimizer-1.51". Have it running in your system tray before your launch the game to allow your to minimize WolfET. The default minimize keys are Ctrl+z to minimize and Ctrl+Shift+Z to Restore.

Notes:
*Alt+Tab* does not work for this game.

*Vista and Windows 7 users* You may need compatibility mode options if your having problems. On your shortcut for the game CHECK the following options: Disable Visual Themes, Disable Desktop composition, Run this program as administrator.

WolfET does not support widescreen 16:9 or 16:10 resolutions which is why we need to use custom resolutions.

ET-2.60b-win32.exe was originally obtained from http://clanltf.org/.

WIN7 "Should" install just fine on it's own. Can you modify the shortcut properties to have it join slayfest automaticly?
The Aperture Science Enrichment Facility reminds you that if at first you don’t succeed, you fail.

Punkbuster error

Postby loganm35 » Sat Mar 13, 2010 3:04 pm

Hi I am trying to get onto the server but when I get it I get a problem with my Punkbuster not starting up and I can't figure out why. It have it updated and made sure it isn't being blocked by my firewall. It isn't even in my process list so it obviously isn't starting at all. I am using windows xp sp3. Any suggestions?

Did any anti-virus or anti-malware software give you a warning about pb?

First try running et.exe as an administrator. You can add this as a compatibility option to your shortcut. This will only be needed if you are using a limited user account on windows and don't already have administrative privileges on the computer your using. Try joining the server to test.

If that didn't work then we are going to do a punkbuster reinstall to make sure it was installed correctly.

Open your wolfet installation directory.

Delete the pb folder.

Download pbsetup. Extract pbsetup.zip to "C:\pbsetup". Run "C:\pbsetup\Pbsetup.exe", Click "I Agree", Click Ok to check for updates, Click Add a game, In the game Dropdown Click "Enemy Territory", Verify that the Game Path(Install Directory) is correct, Click Add Game, Click Check Updates, When the update is finished click ok then click quit.

Try joining the server again and stay in for a while to see if you get the error again. Reply to this thread if you still have trouble.

Good to hear. We will be starting around 10pm. I recommend that you join the server as an Engineer for the Allies. Get started by constructing and dynamiting objectives until you complete each map.
