News of LAN Parties

Hello Folks,

I just started working on the game server to prepare for the next LAN. Here is a list of the changes. Feel free to make suggestions or contest a change. Keep checking back because this is a work in progress.

List of Changes:

UT2004 CTF

• 30 minute time limit (used to be unlimited)
• 3 captures (used to be 5)
• Translocators enabled (was disabled)
• Removed Maps: CTF-FaceClassic
• Added Maps: CTF-Grassyknoll, CTF-Maul, CTF-Avaris, CTF-Citadel

I am starting a thread to discuss the possibilities of a Console LAN Party. I will need the help of Slayer of course in order to setup a few of the administrative details.

I am in need of some ideas however:

What games does everyone want to play?

What console does everyone enjoy the most?


Lets get this discussion going so we can get a night planned and have another outstanding Slayfest!

Whats your availability in June? I would like to have a LAN Party. Saturdays work best for most but Tuesdays work best for others.

Anytime after June 8th would be best for me and Impaler. Nvader says Tuesdays and Thursdays with the possibility to take Saturdays off work.

Please post if your interested and When would be best for you.

I haven't been to a LAN in forever, just wondering if you guys had anything in mind for March/April. Getting time off work is next to impossible without 3-4 weeks notice, so I figured I'd post in advance.

Its been a while since our last real LAN. Kazuma has offered his house as the next location. Its a bit more of a drive for some of us and less for others.

I haven't heard of any recent interest having a LAN so im just trying to find out who is interested. NPC, Impaler, and I have been getting together almost every Tuesday or Wednesday. This is good for co-op games but Im missing the thrill of LAN party TDM or FFA.

So who would like to join me for a big LAN sometime soon?

We're back at the original Slayfest Location for Aeos's Return from the Navy and My Birthday. Its in the middle of the week because most of our usual attendees work on weekends. We plan to play some Company of Heroes Tales of Valor, Call of Duty 2, Unreal Tournament 3, and possible some WolfET.

Tonights Event April 7th, 2009 7pm

Impaler, NPC, and I are playing Rainbow Six Raven Shield 1.6. The game is on steam for $9.99 if your interested in joining. We will be on Steam and we can host a game on hamachi if necessary.

Cobret has been really busy so its been difficult to schedule a LAN. Apoc and I will be hosting this one at the garage. We want to get people together to hang-out and hopefully play a few games. No specific games are scheduled at the moment make a request and we can give it a try.
